Welcome to our ever expanding family.
Since you got the battery and running out of gas
issues over already, maybe the biking gods will smile
on you for awhile.
Everyone is guilty of having done these, either with the
bike, the car, or some other toy. We won't judge.

(However, I managed to avoid these with my Savage. Can't
say that for my other bikes though)
Wife here: WD may have avoided it with his Savage, but I
haven't. Not only have I run out of gas, I actually
dropped the bike at the gas station, at a standstill no
less. I thought the kickstand was down but....oh, well.)
